Start Your Day with
Great Tasting Banana Smoothies

Banana smoothies really are so simple to make it will take you less than 5 minutes to blend up this delicious meal.

You may be surprised at how simple it is to make such a delicious and nutritious drink...

  • 1 Fresh or frozen banana
  • Scoop of a quality supplement powder and or protein powder
  • 1 Tbsp of flaxseed oil or tsp of ground flaxseed - to get your Omega 3's
  • 3 or 4 icecubes
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Optional: 1/2 cup of yogurt or rice or almond milk
  • Optional: add handful of fresh or frozen berries of any kind
  • If you need the drink to be sweeter you can add any sweeter such as honey, black strap molasses, brown rice syrup

Recipe for 1, easily doubled by adding twice the ingredients

Blend all together and enjoy. What a tasty way to start your day. Instead of a boxed cereal or fried protein, you are getting your complex carbohydrate, fat and protein in a blended drink. Once you get in the habit of having a quick and nutritious breakfast made in minutes you will wonder why you were starting your day any other way.

Smoothies make a great snack or desert as they are a drink that can be filling and hit the natural sweet spot. I start most days with a banana smoothie with fresh berries and often will have one for an afternoon snack or a dinner dessert.

I hope you will enjoy adding smoothies to your natural health choices in your kitchen.

*Some people have allergies to bananas or can find them constipating, so if you have either of these issues with banana's, you may want to avoid them.
