The juicing benefits of fruits and vegetables is such a rejuvenating drink as well as easy on your digestive system. Your body knows the difference between what is healthful and what is not. When I developed this mindset of juicing benefits it helped me to plan to make juicing a part of my daily repertoire. I began to look forward to this afternoon pick me up. The body knows and craves what is good for it.
The juicing benefits of produce are many.
For starters, the amount of nutrients that you can consume in a refreshing juice are better for you than anything that you can take in a pill form. When you take in quality food nutrients, you feel good and have good energy. Your skin glows and yes, some have experienced the orange glow from juicing mega carrots. In a matter of minutes you can enjoy a healthy and delicious drink and know that you would more than likely never sit down and eat a pile of carrots and celery every day. But put them all in a juicer and you will feel the natural uplift as your body drinks in the wonderful nutrients from fresh fruits and vegetables. You just might get hooked, and what an awesome beverage to get hooked on! The juice that is extracted from fruits and vegetables has such a different and refreshing taste when you find the right combination that you like. There are so many variations that you can use it can be limitless the different concoctions that you can make. One of the great juicing benefits is that the machine does most of the work that your body would normally do in the digestion process. The cellulose fiber is broken down in the juicer and the juice that is left is full of nutrients that are quickly absorbed into the body as the stomach won't need to break down all the fiber in the produce for you. This is a great way to put some raw food into your system that you might not be getting into your diet. The enzymes in uncooked fruits and vegetables are higher than when they are subjected to heat. So the body gets a boost of energy from the live enzymes and that is one of the best juicing benefits. When your body doesn't have to work as hard in digesting the fibers from these powerhouses your body gets the added benefits of assimilating the foods in a very simple process. Several of the holistic clinics use juicing as one of the protocols to help their patients heal from various ailments because it is easier on the system.* Most people can enjoy a homemade juice or two a day. However, be aware that certain fruits and vegetables can have a high sugar content and can cause the blood sugar to spike. You can dilute the juice with some water to help cut down on the amount of fruit sugar you may ingest if this is a concern. Or you can have a little protein with your drink to help keep your blood sugar stable. If you do decide to add juices to your daily diet, look for a quality juicer that has twin gears for extracting the juice from the produce. Check around and read up on which juicers people preference so that you make a good investment that you will use for a life time. I have been using a Green Juicer for over 10 years and I am quite happy with this machine. I will tell you that at times I will use the Vitamix for my juice cocktail because it is sometimes more convenient to use. I have different recipes that I make in the Vitamix than when I use the juicer. They both have great juice benefits to them so it is finding which tastes and textures of the juices that you like best. The Vitamix blends up the whole vegetable and fruit instead of extracting the juice from the fiber. So it really is a matter of preference. Most important is finding the best way for you to consume fruits and vegetables in a way that you will do it on a regular basis or make the commitment to
juicing for life.
Here is one of my favorite juices that I make in the juicer:- 1 raw beet
- 3 stalks celery
- 3 medium carrots
- 1 apple
I recommend homegrown and or organic produce for the best quality. Wash and cut vegetables into pieces to feed into the juicer. Juice and drink within 20 minutes so that the juice doesn't loose it's vitamin and mineral content through oxidation.
For a delicious green drink try this quick blend....
