Are you living a healthy lifestyle?

We all live our life the best way that we know how. As life does happen along the way, the choices that we make each day affect us not only today but in our future. Here at Natural Health Cafe we believe that living a healthy lifestyle is all about the choices that we have control over that ultimately makes the big differences in our health.



We all live our life the best way that we know how. As life does happen along the way, the choices that we make each day affect us not only today but in our future. A healthy lifestyle will greatly enhance your retirement years.

If you were to rate your daily living habits of today from 1 – 10 with 1 being low, and 10 being excellent how would you score?

  • How many fruits and vegetables do you eat on a daily basis?
  • How many glasses of quality water do you drink through the day?
  • How much daily exercise do you do?
  • How is your weight and overall health?
  • How is the quality and quantity of your sleep?
  • How do you handle day-to-day stress?
  • How often do you have regular check-ups?
  • How would you rate the following:
  • Your job?
  • Your relationships?
  • Your marriage or dating life?
  • Your family life?
  • Your social life?
  • Your spiritual life?
  • How much of your internal thoughts/internal talk is positive?
  • How organized and clean is your environment?

  • So how would you score yourself on living a healthy lifestyle?

    I would expect some areas would be higher or lower than others as your level of focus varies in these different areas of life. It would be challenging to score a 10 in every area of this lifestyle quiz.

    If you can honestly answer 8, 9’s and 10’s for the majority of the questions, then you're scoring a high level of living a healthy lifestyle. Good for you as your efforts show in how you look and feel and how you have balance and much success in your life.

    If you scored mostly 5, 6 and 7’s for most of these questions, then you have room for improvement of course, but these scores would be in the average range. Focusing on perhaps 1 or 2 areas at a time where you can improve your lifestyle by adding in more healthful choices each day. You will see the benefits of your efforts as you strive to achieve a higher level of a quality of life.

    If you scored mostly 3’s and 4’s and some 5’s for most of the questions, you have some work to do, and it will be challenging but it is certainly doable. Finding ways to eliminate the drains and unhealthy habits will be well worth each step in the improvements that you make. Learning all that you can about ways to improve your lifestyle will give you the power to make changes; you just need to find your motivation and take daily action towards your goals.

    If you scored 1’s and 2’s, and maybe some 3’s you know that you are struggling and it may be beneficial for you to enlist some outside help to improve some of those unhealthy lifestyle choices. Be encouraged, as the first step of any makeover is to recognize the unhealthy habits that you may be engaging in. Once you take an honest look at how you are living your life, then it is up to you to learn how to go from where you are today to making a better life for yourself.

    Where you are today is a culmination of the multiple choices you have made over the past decade or two. If you choose to do nothing, you will probably have the same of what you have now or very possibly worse a year from now. Most of us would like to score better on our lifestyle score boards if given the choice. Choosing more natural health solutions that we can do each day will go further than continuing on the course of unhealthy options.

    It is a new day and we can only go forward from here. So take the challenge to make a commitment to change course and to take action to improve one or two areas of your life in a more natural health direction. It is often too much to try to change 10 things all at once, however it is very possible to add in 1 or 2 healthy choices each week.

    The benefits of living a healthy lifestyle will help you to feel more balanced and healthier in your life. That is a reward in itself don’t you think?
