Nutritious Fruits and Vegetables
are Nature's Foods

Why should we eat nutritious fruits and vegetables?

Do you wonder what are the best foods that give you the best bang for your buck? I would put my money on fruits and vegetables for the simple reason that these are powerful fuels for our bodies.

If you were to look at foods as man made verse nature made, you might look at food in a whole new way. Here are some examples....

MAN MADE FOOD Versus NATURE MADE FOOD
white flours organic rice, quinoa, whole grains
pizza, fries, cokes organic vegetables and fruits
hamburgers and hot dogs organic nuts and seeds
ice cream, most cheeses nut and rice milks and cheese
corn, palm, vegetable oils avocado, olive, flaxseed oils
anything in a box or bag anything grown in the ground

If one typically eats foods from the left column, then it is very possible that a person could experience digestion problems, deficiencies, weight issues, allergies, and perhaps other syndrome's as well due to the lack of nutrients in those types of man made foods.

Another big difference is that nature made foods have live enzymes and man made foods don't. People who practice eating raw foods believe that cooking foods above 118 degrees will kill the live enzymes that helps the body to digest the foods. Our body does have the capacity to make enzymes, however, it is believed that it puts undue stress on the body to use up it's own enzyme resources.

There is plenty of information if you are interested in reading some of the research in the area of enzymes. It may also help to understand why it is recommended to consume 5 - 9 nutritious fruits and vegetables each day for the nutrients and fiber that they contain.

And to answer the question of aren't there added and enriched products on the market that puts in the missing sources of nutrients? Yes there are some, but you need to determine if the ingredients are added from nature made food or from a dead or synthetic form. Your body does know the difference.

What you eat really does make a difference to your body. The best way to get the nutrients that you need is from quality food choices. So make sure to eat your fruits and vegetables.
